The Best Transitional, Autumn Outerwear

Dressing for the transition between fall and winter is always tricky territory. While layers are key, it’s really a moment for outerwear to shine; unlike the dead of winter when outerwear is limited to more utilitarian purposes than anything else, the transitional season strikes a balance between fashion and function. Right now, we’re loving plush shearling for breathable (and ultra-chic) warmth, takes on traditional trench coats (especially in rich fabrics like suede and tartan), quilted cropped pieces for easy layering, and more. (Plus, we didn’t forget about the gentlemen.)
